Kupwara, Dec 26 (KNO): Thana Divas was observed on Thursday in Kupwara at Police Station Kupwara, Kralpora, Police Post Khurhama and Drugmulla as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance police-public relations and address grievances effectively.
A statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), reads that at Police Station Kupwara, the meeting was chaired by GM Bhat-JKPS, Addl SP Kupwara, who engaged directly with community members from different areas. Participants shared their concerns and suggestions, many of which were addressed on the spot, while actionable points were noted for follow-up.
Similarly, at Police Station Kralpora, Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, DySP DAR Kupwara, presided over the event. The active public participation shows the public trust in the initiative. He emphasized the police's commitment to transparency and public welfare while ensuring attendees' concerns were heard and acknowledged.
At Police Post Drugmulla, the meeting was chaired by Rafee Rather-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Kupwara, and SI Bilal Rashid, I/C PP who interacted with attendees and addressed their concerns, further strengthening police-public trust.
At Police Post Khurhama, Raeis Ahmad-JKPS, DySP PC Lolab, led the proceedings, attentively listening to the grievances of local residents. Immediate resolutions were provided where possible, and assurances were given for prompt action on other issues.
